You know what it reminds me of? Cisgender people bitching about being called cisgender. I have seen exactly the same "I don't consent to being labeled!" crap coming out of the mouths of cisgender people who want to use "normal" instead of having an alternate, non-loaded term like "cis" used to describe them.

I mean. If they'd thought about it, articulated why they feel "sexual" is problematic and then suggested an alternate, more useful term, that would be one thing, but as it is this just strikes me as people going "you can have a word to describe yourselves, but I want to still get to be called 'normal.'"
